Work Assistant

The Work Assistant is Runwork's core interface. It combines an AI collaborator that understands your entire workspace with team channels where your people, app events, and AI work side by side. Unlike generic chatbots, the Work Assistant explores your data, queries your integrations, and creates apps to show you answers.

Start by asking a question: "What deals are at risk this quarter?" The assistant doesn't just give you a text answer. It queries your connected CRM, analyzes the data, and builds a mini-app showing at-risk deals with reasons and recommended actions. Even simple questions result in interactive visualizations you can explore, filter, and share.

For bigger needs, describe what you want to accomplish: "I need a customer portal where clients can view their invoices and submit support tickets." The assistant explores your workspace first. What entities exist, what integrations are connected, what data is available. Then it suggests an approach tailored to your actual environment. No generic templates. Solutions built for your specific context.

The assistant has full access to your workspace. Connected HubSpot? It can query contacts, deals, and companies. Connected Slack? It can summarize channel activity or send notifications. Connected Stripe? It can analyze payment patterns. Your 3,200+ integrations become the assistant's tools, extending what it can understand and build.

Context persists across conversations. The assistant remembers your workspace structure, previous conversations, and what you've built together. Team Channels: Where Everything Converges

Channels organize your workspace by team, project, or topic. Create #sales, #customer-success, #engineering, #product-launches, or whatever fits how your team works. Each channel is a shared space that brings together three things: your team's conversations, events from connected apps, and the workspace AI.

App events flow into channels automatically. When a deal closes in HubSpot, it appears in #sales. When a payment fails in Stripe, #customer-success sees it. When a CI build breaks, #engineering gets the update. Your team doesn't need to check five different dashboards or wait for someone to copy-paste updates. The events are just there, in context, alongside the conversation.

And AI is always available. Type @ai in any channel to pull the workspace AI into the discussion. It sees the full channel history and has access to all your workspace data. Ask it to look up a customer record mid-conversation, summarize a long thread, pull related data from another integration, or build a quick app to answer a question the team is debating. The AI participates as a teammate, not as a separate tool you switch to.
